What are rescue boots and how does it work?

the boat in the foreground is technically the rescue boat. it is used in case of emergency. there is another just like it on the other side of the ship. each watercraft can hold up to 72 tightly packed people and protect them from danger. so if the boat starts to sink, everybody climbs on board, gets dumped into the water, and waits patiently for a rescue...

the rear boat is a landing craft typically used for science missions that need something a little smaller.
